We take advance reservations, and then just as soon as the crops are harvested, our staff of K. van Bourgondien experts makes an on-the-spot selection of the finest bulbs available to fill those reservations.

Orders for gift certificates will be shipped immediately.

Due to hot weather conditions, we are unable to ship any plant items from late June through August. General merchandise will be shipped with your plant order.

The type of product you order or the weather in our area or yours may affect the anticipated shipping schedule. Large orders may be shipped in more than one package. Your order confirmation will have an estimated shipping time. When your order is actually shipped you will be sent an updated shipping estimate. You may check your order status at any time on this website using your email or account number provided on your order confirmation. Please note that we cannot ship outside of the 48 contiguous states.

Perfect for filling out a sunny site with rich, bright color and a heady, lingering perfume, tall phlox makes quite an exhibition in the landscape. Also known as phlox paniculata, this versatile plant is easy to grow and a snap to maintain. Upright spikes filled with tiny florets emerge quickly and last for weeks. We offer a range of colors to fit your particular landscaping needs.

Phlox Planting and Growing Tips

Plant in humus-enriched, moist, well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. Space 24" apart. In spring, thin new shoots to 4-6 stems. Deadhead to keep the plant vigorous. Water deeply during periods of drought. Avoid wetting the foliage; plant is susceptible to powdery mildew. Divide plants every 2-3 years in early fall. Replant only small, strong outer divisions. Grows 36- 60" tall. Blooms June-September. Hardy in zones 3-8.
